After several delays, the team behind "Kalki 2898 AD" has announced a new release date. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this grand film stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone. Originally set for release on January 12, 2024, it was later moved to May 9, 2024, but now, it's scheduled to premiere globally on June 27, 2024.
The first look at "Kalki 2898 AD" was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 21, 2023. From what the visuals show, the movie is shaping up to be a grand, mythology-inspired sci-fi epic.
Prabhas will be portraying a character named Bhairava, who is said to be a modern-day incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Amitabh Bachchan appears as Ashwatthama, a warrior enduring through ages.
