‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’ Unveils a Gripping Tale as Baahubali and Bhallaladeva Unite to Defend Mahishmati and Its Throne from the Enigmatic Warlord, Raktadeva
The animated series "Baahubali: Crown of Blood," a prequel to SS Rajamouli's blockbuster "Baahubali" movies, is set to debut on Disney+ Hotstar on May 17. Created by Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan, known for "The Legend of Hanuman," the series will delve into the epic world of "Baahubali" with untold stories of adventure, brotherhood, betrayal, conflict, and heroism.
The franchise began with "Baahubali: The Beginning" in 2015, featuring stars like Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, and Tamannaah Bhatia. It quickly broke box office records, becoming the first South Indian film to earn over Rs 650 crore worldwide. The sequel, "Baahubali: The Conclusion," followed in 2017.
In "Baahubali: Crown of Blood," Baahubali and Bhallaladeva join forces to protect the kingdom of Mahishmati and its throne from a mysterious warlord named Raktadeva. This production is a collaborative effort between Graphic India and Arka Mediaworks and is directed by Jeevan J Kang and Navin John.
Rajamouli expressed his enthusiasm for the animated format, stating that while the film series introduced the vast world of Baahubali, the animated series will explore further, unveiling previously unknown twists in the lives of the characters as they strive to save Mahishmati. Prabhas, reprising his role, shared his excitement about exploring a crucial chapter in the lives of Baahubali and Bhallaladeva through this new medium.
